Will the Circle Be Unbroken?
There have been a lot of songs, books, movies, and sermons about life after death. A song that captures much of the feeling behind such materials is the gospel song “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?” The song was written in 1907 by Ada R. Habershon and Charles H. Gabriel and then reworked by AP Carter of the Carter Family and sung by many performers. The idea of a soul that survives death has been studied by theologians, popular writers, and even scientists. Here are some of the sources I have found interesting on the subject. Thanks to Ilze Akerbergs and Greg Philippsen for joining me on this recording.
